The 541 Optical Compressor is a feedback style compressor, designed for relatively unobtrusive gain reduction.

The 541's control set is minimal, including a ten-segment LED gain reduction meter, a threshold control operating in the dbx-style counter-clockwise direction with a very arbitrary orientation.

Stereo pairs are linkable, please read the manual as there are different methods for linking in different 500 power supplies.
