It is very easy to hear the quality of the signal as well as its control. The preamp is clean, fast and detailed with a bandwidth that leaves nothing unheard. The equalizer has a great tone and control, particular for things like guitar and voice / vocals. The opto compressor is extremely easy to dial in, you could perfectly control any source with a 4:1 ratio and fast attack / release dialed in for classic leveling that does not sound processed.
