I don't know how else to describe the AEA KU5A, it's incredibly smooth response makes it pleasing on virtually any source. Sibilance? No problem. Bright guitar cab? No problem. Drums sizzling? No problem, the KU5A will tame that top end without resorting to an overly dark or muffled tone. It's also got the SIZE you expect from a classic ribbon mic, big round bottom end is there for days.

Of course the most interesting thing is it's a directional ribbon mic, which is more rare than hen's teeth.
